Cybersmart | Keywords


LI: to use keywords for better searching.
Keywords are words that you use when you want to specific when you search. On example is when you want to see how long a lizard can live instead of searching 'lizard" you search whats a "lizard lifespan" to the keywords are lizard and lifespan.

We found a animal that we wanted to find out about which was a komodo dragon and we had 3 questions we had to answer which was how long they live where they live and what they eat. We found websites and had to find a paragraph that talk about the information we needed. We copied and pasted the text and then found the keywords relevant to the question.

LI : To learn about emotions
This week for kiwican we are learning about emotions. We did a first game which was kind of a challenge for us it got harder and harder but when we completed it we all felt good. Like doing star jumps then to planking

The next game was that we all had to act an emotion without talking and doing a task. One was being at the zoo. The group task was to act and emotion well doing the task and acting how we would feel.

M.O.T.A.T | Mind lab

LI : To learn how create and exlpore the past in technology and transport.
We went to M.O.T.A.T stands for museum of technology and transport.

Exploring
We explored M.O.T.A.T in groups. We went by an old village and see what was it like back in the olden days. It had a doctor place, a house,work shop, classroom and church.  We then went to a small town and saw the toys that they also had (dolls,toy cars). We also saw the cars that they use to have which was a travel buggy,silvia, nissan cars (race cars)

my group went on a tram (like a train but electric and is smaller) we went to a hanger bay that had heaps of small planes some fighting planes and some cargo planes. They were all real and you could hear the sounds of what the planes sounded like and there purpose was. We also saw the engines used for the planes. We went back and saw some old tractors and more cars. Thats when we went back

Making a electric car
we had a partner an a few wheels and card bored and a skewer to put the wheels and a battery with propeller and mortar. The goal was to get the car as far as possible with the propeller. We all had 30 mins to get the car done. At the end it did not work as the car was to heavy to move.

turning on LED with gears
This was a group task and the task was to turn on a LED (light-emitting diode) we had to turn it on with gears and a mortar. We also had sticks for the cogs to work this was a group task, this was a small gear that would power the LED but first we had to connect it. To the mortar to make it work we also had gears so we could power the small gear which powers the mortar. We had to make it work as efficient as possible without turning the little gear. And also make a base for the project. Our group got to complete the project to make it efficient as possible but we failed to make our base.

Persuasion


LI What is Persuasion
The first task we did for writing was to try to convince another person there wrong. Two people stood next to a white bored were there was the 6 but on someone else's angle it was 9. There goal was to convince the other person that there right and the other person it wrong this tactic is called persuasion.

After that we talked about persuasion. We had a partner or two people and yourself had to wrote about a topic and convince the other person that topic is better. We watched a video about persuasion and tips on how to persuade someone without making them feel bad. Then we made a poster about what bias and persuasion means and also arguments about point of view. Well using the drawing about the 6 or 9 bias also means choosing a side over another.
