LI- To Build Vocabulary
LI- To build expression
This week for reading we did our play. We did it in our school theatre the part I enjoyed the most was the insults as they were funny. The part I found hard was my last line because I had to use expressions which I found hard. I really need to change how I say my lines with expression but I would say that I imporved my oral language.

Space tuarangi/ prior knowledge.


This week for our first session of inquiry with Ms. Anderson, we were using our prior knowledge about spce. Prior knowledge is when you use your information you already know about. In groups of LS1 and LS2 we wrote our prior knowledge about space. I was with Farzana and Xavier. After we recorded our prior knowledge, we watched a video about space. The video helped us build on our prior knowledge.

The book I read was called dogman. I had to write about the story.

Cybersmart

For cybersmart we learnt about formal and formal language. Formal languge is when you talk like "hello" informal language is like saying " wassup G ". We did the first task as a group to get an idea on what to do.

Volume


















LI: to calculate the volume of objects by measuring water displacement.
This week for maths we learnt about volume. Our group answered question like what is volume? Well lets say we have a drink of water thats 400ml and we have a small cube when we put it in the water and the water go up tto 401ml that means that the cube is 1ml that mean in volume the cube is 1ml. The cube was not just the only thing we tested the slide shows how much our group tested.

Explanation


LI- To plan and Write an Explanation For writing this week we wrote how to explain how chocolate is made by writing an explanation. We were told how to make an explanation the week before. We read a poster were we had to copy the information but change it. Here is the text the top is the template we used for the first part.

Well doing this we had to give credit to the person who made the image find the CCO and put in the link for the image. I then made a doc to put all the information in and then put a dlo of all of the images in a cycle of oder.

Space travel


LI- To Understand what is needed for space exploration.
This week for inquiry my group made a straw rocket. There goal was to get there rocket as high as possible. They had 4 rockets to test when there were none left to test they wrote there answer on there slide. The slide has our hypothesis and method on how we built the rocket the fourth slide told then what they changed and what happened. And the last slide is the ending and if the hypothesis was supported.

This week for reading we made a flipgrid about the new play that we are doing. It is called kebabs and I am the orchard owner. The flipgrid is a small summary of the play.

Forces


LI- What is a Force and How can we harness/use it?
This week for inquriy we learnt about four forces,about isaac newton. We made a slideshow about the four forces but before this we had to learn about them we learnt about the action force and reaction force by watching a video. We learnt the others by someone showing us the forces. The next thing we did was get in a group an make the slideshow. The next task was to was to write down how we can lauch a starw rocket into the air for next week.

Cybersmart

LI : To write a smart blog comment.
This week for cybersmart we learnt how to write a smart comment. We watched 2 videos of power of words and mindful message then it was a comment. We start a comment with a greeting then a connection with there work and thoughful comment. Writre something nice about the work and a goodbye.

Cause & Effect


LI What is Casual and Technical Language
This week for writing we did cause and effect. We did a task were cards were mixed up and we had to match the cause to the effect. Our new task was to make a slide and we had to do the cause and effect based on LS1 like this a student didn't have a chromebook so he got a loan. It had to be about LS1 not what we do if the weather is bad as we can't control it. This task was done as a group.

Kiwi sport

LI : To develop body movements of balance,rotation and strength
We went to the hall and said hi to Steve. Then we did a warm up it was called tag we would skip or jump on one foot. Next we did some stretches from last week there were the L shape,seal,butterfly,cat,straddle and back,front and side support. Then we did a rotation the first one I did included a long blue carpet were we do handstands. A trampoline where we jumped and we had to make a star fish. A backwards roll then we went on a spirng were we wold jump and do a 180 dreege turn.


the second rotation made a us go on parallel bars and try to balance on them. Then a handstand on a wall. Next was front support then side support then back. And the last one which was hard was a balancing beam were we would walk backwards then a bench were we would do little jumps or a forward roll. Then a little blue line were we would do a cartwheel or jump over it. My reflection was that the foward roll one was hard but I did not do it as I thought I my hurt myself.

Reading


LI- To build expression
This week we are doing a new play its called kebabs. The play is about being greedy over little things and consequences willy always follow. The frist slide is the slide we did as a group and the secound slide is my lines for the play. My part in the play is an orchard owner.


Kiwi can | honesty

LI : To use integrity and honesty.
This week for kiwi can did kiwi can the theme was integrity like last week and the topic honesty.We first did our catch phrase. "Talk to me truthfully,that's called honesty" Then we played a game its called bang. So were in a circle then the teacher says a name if its you,you duck if its not you and someone next to you,you say bang! if you hit the person that ducking there out if you hit the person who did not say bang there also out. Next we talked about honesty and how sometimes were scared to tell the truth. And the last game was an expressing game. our buddy would tells us what to do. So the teacher would say something and our buddy would say what to look like about the situation then we swap.

Moari

LI : to learn about patupaiarehe and the geography
patupaiarehe are fairy's that live in forests. The image above talks about the patupaiarehe. patupaiarehe are scared of sunlight and shark oil. Before this we read a story call ihenga its about a Maori chief who explores new zealand. One day went he was doing a adventure with two dogs. He found a river he went up the rive and found a water fall he went up and found a lake. One of the dogs was thirsty so he drank the water and fell in a vortex and died. The chief name the lake after one of his dogs. 


He then went up the forest to find smoke. He heard there was patupaiarehe that live in the forest.So he got some shark oil. And found a patupaiarehe the chief was thirsty but the patupaiarehe noticed he had shark oil on and disappeared he named the forest after from he drank from.
