SMJ

Today I did apart of the SLJ this peom makes me feel emotional.
Poem. (if you cant see it)

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
       In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

       In Flanders fields.

  2. Hi Xavier,
My name is Patricia Santos and I will be blogging with you for the Summer Learning Journey.
I do like poems too! Specially the ones that can create an emotion on me. I found that writing a poem or singing a song can be a great way to express feelings.
Can you tell me more why this poem made you feel emotional?
Furthermore it would be great with you could label your posts, for example SLJ week2 - day 1- bonus activity, as this would make it easier for us to keep tracking on your progress.
    Keep up the good work!
    Kia Kaha,
    Patricia
