Writing

LI : To revise the structure of a Imaginative recount and reaffirm the marking criteria.
TREE is what we used to write our Imaginative recount in. TREE stands for title, reveal, events, ending. The reveal had to have a who, when, where. We made a Imaginative recount pretending that we had just won the lottery and won one million dollars. In the whole recount by the time we finished the recount all of the money has to be gone. The ending would have to say what we thought about the day.

After we wrote the imaginative recount we got with a partner to mark our work, we would swap chrome books and read each other's work. The person who made a recount would give themselves a mark and the person who checking the work would either agree or disagree.

Poetry or rap | Vocab builder

LI - Build knowledge of vocabulary, and links words create to the wider world.
Before we did the task
In our group we could either choose to do what kind of task we want to do. We could either start with the vocab builder which is when you start with an random object. And build on what it means what category it is and so on. Next was the poetry or rap, we had to get a verse of a song or part of a poem and make a person guess if it was poetry or rap.

When were doing the task
We chose to do the Vocab builder first, we would make an answer sheet and make another copy of the sheet and delete the answers, so no one can know what the answers were. There are five vocab builders that were made. The last thing we did was poetry or rap, we made it so if you got an answer right you would see who made the poem/rap. Or if you got it wrong, the slide would make it if you can go back to the question or, to the next question.

Maori

Mrs Fireodie told us to make groups of seven before we did anything. There are three groups of seven, we are the first group and the first task we did as a group was talk with the teacher well she speaks maori. She would say things like "who are you" or "what's your dads name" in maori and we would say their name or our name. She would try and trick us like instead of saying "who are you" when it's meant to be "whos your grandads name".

After that we went on a new task that made us watch a short 30 second clip in maori. We then had to find out what they are saying. This either could be a group task or a solo task. Our group decided for it to be a group task. By the time we were done we could not do any more tasks as it was morning tea. So we had done 2/3 tasks.

Kiwi Can

LI : To learn how to respect ourselves and other things/people
We had a new kiwi can monitor his name was si manou the theme for this term was respect. One of the games we play revolves around listening to instructions, like how apple means jump forward, orange means jump backwards and banana means spin 180 degrees. We played a couple rounds, then we moved on how to respect each other and objects and life.

Some of the ways we could respect yourself is by doing basic hygiene such as showering, brushing our teeth and looking after our hair. The last game we played was one lie and one truth, in this game one person said one lie about themself and then one truth about themself. And the class had to decide what was the truth as that was the goal in total five people had a turn.

We then did a recap on how to respect each other etc before we left the theatre.
